The Wuppertal-based family business Thielenhaus Technologies GmbH will be 110 years old on May 1, 2019. From its beginnings as a manufacturer of textile machines, the company has developed into the world market leader in machine tools for surface finishing. The processing of foreign markets has a lng tradition. Today, the company is represented worldwide with eight locations in six countries on four continents. In addition, Thielenhaus Technologies fulfills the requirement of customer proximity through specialized commercial agencies in all major industrialized countries.
Since 1955, the globally operating group of companies has included the traditional brand Koellmann, founded in 1904 in Leipzig, which is considered one of the leading German suppliers of heavy-duty standard and special gearboxes as well as diaphragm compressors for the production of oil-free compressed air.
The fortunes of the family business are in the third generation by the brothers Dr. Peter Thielenhaus as Managing Director and Dietrich W. Thielenhaus as Chairman of the Advisory Board. With Maya Thielenhaus, the fourth generation has now assumed operational responsibility as a project manager. The manufacturer has always produced groundbreaking innovations. The fact that the long-established company now holds more than 430 patents worldwide indicates the research and development effort of recent decades.
