Conical surfaces can be found in many different workpieces: taper roller bearings, sealing seats, synchronizer discs, and taper discs. Different cutting speeds, resulting from the respective form, lead to surface quality restrictions during machining. The Microfinish process, also known as Superfinish, can achieve the desired geometry and surface quality. The easiest solution would be a microfinishing attachment (with stone or tape tools) integrated into the respective production machine.
