The Method of Superfinish

Superfinish or microfinish improves micro- and macro-geometry (roughness and roundness), provides a high bearing ratio and reduced specific bearing load. Furthermore, this method prevents the generation of an amourphous layer so that the sound base material offers its full hardness and load capacity and it increases the useful compressive stress in the workpiece edge zone.
